صحيفة نيويورك تايمز تحث الإخوان فى مصر للتخلى عن عنادهم

حثت صحيفة "نيويورك تايمز" الأمريكية جماعة الإخوان المسلمين فى مصر للتخلى عن عنادهم وخططهم الحالية، والتى لن تؤدى إلا إلى تزايد فرص اندلاع المزيد من العنف والفوضى، وتعزز من حركة المتشددين وتقلل من صدى الدعوات الداخلية من أجل الإصلاح.
وأضافت الصحيفة - فى تعليق أوردته على موقعها الإلكترونى اليوم الأحد - أن جماعة الإخوان المسلمين برغم من الحملة الأمنية التى يشنها الجيش ضدها حاليا والتى أدت بطبيعة الحال لتزايد حدة مقاومتها وتنذر بمخاطر إطالة أمد هذا الصراع، إلا أنها لا تزال أكبر حركة مستقلة فى مصر.
ولفتت إلى أن الإخوان كانوا السبب فى فقدان ما وصفته بـ"فرصة مصر" فى هذا الوقت، فعندما وصل الرئيس المعزول محمد مرسى إلى سدة الحكم، اعتمد هو وأعضاء مكتب الإرشاد نهجا أكثر تشددا فى التعامل مع الوضع الراهن وقتها فى مصر، متجاهلين دعوات الإصلاحيين لهم.
وتابعت الصحيفة قولها: "إلا أن مرسى أهدر العديد من الفرص لتقاسم السلطة مع التيارات السياسية الأخرى، حيث استبدل رجال النظام السابق فى كافة مؤسسات الدول بأعضاء من جماعة الإخوان دون جهد جاد لمعالجة سوء الإدارة النظامية والفساد المتوغل فى المؤسسات".
ورأت الصحيفة أن الإخوان فشلوا فى استغلال فوزهم بفارق ضئيل فى السباق الرئاسى، إذ أنهم اعتبروا هذا الفوز بمثابة تخويل لمرسى لإدارة البلاد كما يشاء ليفتح على نفسه وابلا من الانتقادات والاتهامات بأنه يستخدم سلطته الديمقراطية لتحقيق غايات غير ديمقراطية.
ورجحت الصحيفة عدم إمكانية عودة مرسى إلى السلطة مرة أخرى مهما كان حجم المظاهرات التى تحتشد لدعمه، فالجيش والأحزاب العلمانية والملايين من المواطنين المصريين العاديين يعارضونه بشدة، مشيرة إلى أن الإخوان لطالما نجحوا فى تجنيد الأعضاء وحشدهم فى صناديق الإقتراع وفى الشوارع، إلا أنهم كانوا أقل براعة فى التفاوض والتسوية والوصول إلى حلول توافقية وهى المهارات اللازمة التى يحتاجون إليها بشدة فى الوقت الراهن للعب دور بناء فى تشكيل مستقبل مصر.
